Before you begin

Use an Android phone with a working internet connection and enough free storage. Keep your phone connected until the file finishes downloading. If you already have the app, use our update guide first so you can keep your existing installation and account access.

Follow these four steps

  1. Find the completed file

Open your browser menu and choose Downloads. You can also use your phone’s Files or file manager app. Wait until the progress indicator finishes; don’t open a partial file or a file ending in a temporary download extension.

  2. Open it and check the source

Tap the file you just downloaded. If Android asks which app should open it, choose the package installer. Read the app name and any permissions or security information shown before proceeding.

  3. Review installation permission

Android may ask you to allow installation from your browser or file manager. If you choose to proceed, enable permission only for the source you are using, then return to the installer. Menu names vary by Android version and phone manufacturer.

  4. Finish and open the app

Wait for the installer to finish, then tap Open. You can also launch the app from your phone’s app list. Return to the source permission setting and switch it off when you no longer need it.

If the installer stops

A download can finish in the browser but still be incomplete if the connection was interrupted. First check your available storage and the file’s download status. Reopen the completed file once; repeatedly tapping Install will not resolve a compatibility or signature problem.

If an existing installation is blocking the process, don’t immediately uninstall it or clear its data. Read the exact error and use our installation troubleshooting steps to identify the cause.

Keep your phone’s protections on

Review Android’s security warnings. Installation does not require turning off Play Protect or other device protection. If a warning prevents you from proceeding, stop and check the download source and file before taking another step.

Ready to sign in?

Open the app and use the account entry shown on the screen. If you have trouble accessing an existing account, our sign-in guide explains what to check without deleting your local app data.
